hello there.
Hello. And welcome. My name is Lindsay and I am a lifestyle photographer. My journey began sometime after I started having kids. Like so many other millennial moms, I wanted to document my kids’ lives. I have six kids, five boys and a girl. Life is crazy now and was a different kind of crazy when they were younger. I cannot tell you as a mom how many times I have muttered the phrase “oh for the love of God” followed by some NSFW words. I began snapping photos of the “for the love of…” moments and posting them online, finding the humor in frustration times. Like a photo of my son crying because I took the banana peel all the way off and he couldn’t eat it like a monkey with the peel all the way off like that. Or the time we were moving and a different son decided to take the little potty and start potty training right there on the sidewalk in front of all the new neighbors we had yet to meet. This morphed and changed and really created a path for my photography as an art. It allowed me to slow down, find the beauty, the funny, the ridiculousness in the never-ending days of motherhood. I felt more present as I was looking at our lives differently than just surviving the days. I was exploring and noticing the details and those little in-between moments. As my kids get older and want more and more privacy, I can no longer follow them into the bathroom with my camera or snap a picture of a meltdown (it’s less cute now anyways). With this shift, I have been exploring the more creative sides of photography including the non people-y things you see here. I love coffee and flowers and pretty things and hope you do too.
